Break Up

I think my voice coach has broken up with me.  I showed up for a class and when he didn't show I got a little worried.  I walked back into the building where we usually have lessons and saw him in a practice room with another woman.

I figured it was my fault because I didn't confirm that we had a lesson earlier in the week.  I waited around for a while longer.  When he never came out, I thought I'd catch up with him the following week.

On Tuesday last week, I sent an e-mail and he never answered me back.  Of course this has sent down a hail storm of doubt in my head:
1.  Am I that bad that he can't even tell me my voice is a lost cause?
2.  Has he been lying to me for the last couple of months that I have some small amount of potential?
3.  Is he just a jackass who doesn't even have the common decency to drop me an e-mail and say his PhD defending self is overwhelmed right now and he doesn't have time for me?

I'm going with #3.  Anyone know a gentle voice coach?

Regret

After almost 20 years of thinking of myself as a Who fan, I regret to inform you that I think The Who sucks.  Let me back up for a moment.  A few months ago, Jillian loaned me her portable hard drive and I spent a couple of days picking and choosing music to upload to my computer.  It was "ooh, that looks good" and "wow, how come I never thought of getting that one."  I had a lot of fun going through that portable, let me tell you.

So, I came across The Who:  Thirty Years of Maximum R&B, and flipped.  Seriously, 65 Who tunes - how cool is ?  As it turns out, not so cool.  C'mon Boris the Spider??  Did they even HAVE crack back then?  If you doubt me, go to Pandora and plug that in.  Tell me Pete and Roger weren't free-basing something.

So, I have put away thoughts of being a Who fan.  I can still enjoy Baba O'Riley and Won't Get Fooled Again, but that's about it.  It's a sad day.
